Marisa Mitchell is an environmental scientist, renewable energy infrastructure developer, and playwright.  She has been proudly combining left- and right-brained thinking since 1977.  Marisa has 10 years of experience in children's theatre and has been producing corporate musicals and comedy shows focused on climate change and renewable energy since 2019.  As a musician, she studied classical and jazz flute and has performed at Yoshi's and Zellerbach Hall. With a BS in Environmental Science from UC Berkeley, an MA in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Cruz, and an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, Marisa's career has been focused on environmental science and professional communication about the climate crisis and renewable energy development. Playwriting folds together her historical strengths with her twin passions for climate justice and musical theatre. Marisa's other climate crisis play, The Fermi Paradox, is the winner of Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company's Fight Forward Festival.
